I don't know who it was that approved this design. But I actually preferred the layout from the last version before this update. None the less they did make some functionality improvements, namely the INperson mode that allows you to easily exchange datas with another LinkedIn user via your iPhone via Bluetooth.

LinkedIn v3.0 for iPhone includes InPerson mode which enables data exchange via Bluetooth.
