550D / T2i + Wireless Lavalier

Excuse the imperfect focus of my cute little talent. But it shows how / why an external hi-res / HD monitor is almost compulsory to get good focus on this new breed of HD-DSLR. My previous JVC HD cam has a focus-assist function which highlights the focussed points. OR the option to switch the monitoring LCD to black and white making it easier to focus on your chosen subjects. Fact that the LCDs are not swivel-able like regular camcorders make it awkward at times if the came is set - like for this - at knee level.

Which means.. necessary next purchase.. an LCD View Finder. Or just stop shooting video with it. :) More trial and error for sure. And its not that difficult if I just turn the AF on. :))
